an in-person boudoir consultation

A zero-obligation conversation in Sundre, before any decision is made

Nervousness often has less to do with being photographed than with being photographed by a stranger. It is difficult to relax into expression, direction or vulnerability while part of you is still trying to understand the person standing across from you.

Your in-person boudoir Consultation gives us time to change that before photoshoot day. We meet at a coffee shop in Sundre, where your favourite drink is already waiting and the conversation belongs entirely to you. Across the table, we can design the session together—discussing your preferences, boundaries, wardrobe, chosen setting and how much direction you would like me to carry.

By the time you arrive for your photographs, we are no longer unknown to one another. We are continuing a conversation from weeks earlier, returning almost immediately to the same warmth and energy we left behind. There is already a familiarity between us: calm, natural and free from judgment.

That familiarity allows the photographs to reach beyond the guarded expression that can appear when you are still learning whether you feel comfortable with someone. You arrive knowing how I speak, how carefully I listen and that the plans we made together have been remembered. The afternoon does not open with introductions. It picks up where we left off.

A postal code can tell you where a photographer works.

It cannot tell you how carefully you will be listened to

CHAPTER 01

Choosing Your Boudoir Photographer

A portfolio can show you the photographs.
A conversations shows you how they will be made.

A postal code can tell you where a photographer works. It cannot tell you how carefully you will be listened to, how your boundaries will be handled or whether the person guiding you understands the difference between gentle encouragement and pressure.

A portfolio matters. It reveals technical ability, consistency, use of light and the photographer’s visual instincts. But even the strongest collection of photographs cannot tell you what it feels like to spend an afternoon with the person who made them. It cannot show whether questions are welcomed, whether physical limitations are remembered or whether the same practiced formula is applied to every woman who enters the room.

Boudoir asks for more discernment than choosing the nearest available studio. You are selecting the person who will help shape the pace, offer direction, notice when a garment is no longer serving you and recognize when a boundary has been reached before you need to defend it. You are also choosing whose judgment will influence the photographs, the artwork and the way this part of your life is recorded.

Compatibility does not require us to share the same personality. It means you feel able to speak plainly and know that what you say will carry forward. You should be able to ask how posing is directed, what happens when a position causes discomfort, how privacy is protected and whether your preferences will remain present once photoshoot day arrives.

The answers matter, but so does the way they are given.

This is why the Consultation is more than an introduction. It gives you the opportunity to decide whether the photographer’s manner, methods and priorities belong with what you are planning. You can notice whether the conversation feels attentive or rehearsed, whether your questions are answered directly and whether you are being treated as an individual rather than placed into a perfected system built for online efficiency.

The right photographer is not determined by proximity alone. She is the person whose work draws you in, whose approach respects the choices you make and whose presence allows the photographs to reflect far more than the nerves you carried through the door.

CHAPTER 02

Inside Your Boudoir Consultation

A zero-obligation meeting in Sundre to design your photoshoot

Your in-person boudoir Consultation takes place at a coffee shop in Sundre, away from the pressure of making immediate decisions. I arrive a few minutes early, find us a table and have your favourite drink waiting when you walk in. From there, the conversation follows the questions, ideas and concerns you brought with you—not a sales script or a timed presentation.

Some Consultations last around thirty minutes. Others continue for two or three hours because there is more to discuss. Neither is considered too short or too long. You may want a clear overview of the process, or you may need time to examine each part carefully before deciding whether Juicy is right for you.

We can talk about the photographs you are drawn toward, the setting you are considering, your preferred degree of coverage and any clothing you may bring from home. You can ask how posing is directed, explain physical limitations, establish boundaries and describe the kinds of expression or styling that do not feel like you.
Although the studio wardrobe is not physically browsed during this meeting, we can discuss colours, garments and coverage so there is already a direction in place before photoshoot day.

The Consultation also gives you a clear understanding of the practical details. Albums, Collections, artwork, the $399 + GST Retainer and zero-interest payment planning can be discussed openly, without requiring you to choose or purchase anything that afternoon.

You decide where you want to hold creative choice & where you would prefer more guidance

Most importantly, you are given enough information to make a considered choice. The Consultation carries no obligation to book, reserve a date or continue beyond the conversation. You leave knowing how Juicy works, how your photoshoot would be planned and whether the approach feels compatible with the photographs you hope to create.

CHAPTER 03

How Your Consultation Shapes Your Boudoir Photoshoot

The details you share are carried forward, not left behind at the coffee shop

A steaming coffee cup line art paragraph separator for the Juicy Boudoir website

The details you share during your Consultation are not reduced to a checklist and forgotten once a date is reserved. They become the working foundation for your boudoir photoshoot: how you prefer to be guided, which settings and wardrobe directions interest you, where your boundaries rest and which parts of the process you would rather not have to manage alone.

You may tell me that you want clear, decisive posing instruction or that you need a little more time before changing positions. You may have physical limitations that require certain poses to be adapted, expressions that feel unlike you or clothing ideas that carry personal meaning. These details influence how the afternoon is paced and how each part is approached.

You are not expected to explain these details again while already standing in the middle of your photoshoot.

The Consultation also helps establish how decisions will be shared between us. Some women want to remain closely involved in wardrobe, setting and artwork choices. Others arrive with a broad feeling in mind and would prefer experienced guidance through the finer details. Neither approach is treated as the default. We decide together where you want to lead and where you would feel better supported.

This preparation does not create a rigid script. It gives us a thoughtful place to work from while leaving room to respond to what feels right in person. A wardrobe piece may fit differently than anticipated, a particular corner of the studio may hold the light beautifully that afternoon, or a pose may lead naturally into a stronger direction.

The plan provides continuity without turning you into a sequence of predetermined photographs.

When photoshoot day arrives, we are not starting again from introductions and general questions. Your preferences have been remembered, your boundaries have already been heard and the photographs have been considered with your life, not an online workflow, at their centre.

Years From Now

The reason you open those pages may have very little to do with how you looked

It may be an ordinary evening after the house has gone still, or a day when life has carried the afternoon farther from reach than you realized. The cover opens. The pages turn. Light, laughter, and the woman within them return. Not as a former self to mourn, but as proof that she never vanished in the first place.

The artwork is not the ending of your session.

It is where the afterglow travels beyond the afternoon, returning you to the laughter, freedom, and quiet exhilaration of that day.

CHAPTER 04

The Choice Remains Yours

Meeting your boudoir photographer does not mean you are required to book

clover sprig pressed flower leaf line separator for Juicy Boudoir website

The Consultation is not a booking appointment disguised as a friendly conversation. Its purpose is to give you enough information to decide whether Juicy, the photographs and the way I work belong with what you are considering.
You may ask direct questions about the $399 + GST Retainer, artwork, Collections, wardrobe, privacy, posing, payment planning or any part of the process that still feels unclear.

You can understand every practical detail without being asked to reserve a date at the table.

You are welcome to make a decision at the table, return to it later or decide that Juicy is not the right fit for you. Each is a complete and respected outcome. The Consultation carries no booking requirement, purchase expectation or obligation to continue beyond the meeting.

This freedom matters because choosing a boudoir photographer deserves more than a quick reaction to a portfolio or a convenient location.

You should be able to leave, reflect, and decide whether the approach truly belongs with you.

When you are ready to reserve a date, the next step will be clear. Until then, the information is yours, the afternoon remains yours, and so does the final decision.

Clarity Without Commitment

You can leave with every answer before making any decisions

NO BOOKING REQUIRED

The Consultation may end at the table without reserving a date or making a purchase.

TIME TO CONSIDER

Leave with the information, reflect privately and return when your decision feels clear.

A FEW PRACTICAL NOTES

When You Are Ready To Continue

What happens after your boudoir consultation

When you decide to continue after your Consultation, the next steps are straightforward. When you are ready to reserve your date, the non-refundable Retainer is $399 + GST.

Once your date is secured, the plans we discussed are carried forward into your booking rather than replaced by a standard sequence of automated instructions.
Your preferences, boundaries, chosen setting, wardrobe direction and desired level of guidance remain part of the working plan. Communication continues between the Consultation and photoshoot day, giving you time to ask new questions, share clothing ideas or clarify details that became important after our meeting.

Artwork and photographs are purchased separately from the Retainer, with no minimum artwork purchase required. During the Consultation, you may review the available Albums and Collections, see the materials in person and discuss which options genuinely belong with what you hope to keep. The complete pricing structure is also available on the Boudoir Investment page whenever you would like to revisit it privately.

Zero-interest payment planning may be arranged for up to 24 months. The plan does not need to be completed before photoshoot day, payment may be made on any day within each month, and up to three requested skips can be transferred to the end of the schedule. The purpose is to create a clear arrangement around the artwork you have chosen—not to rush you into selecting more than you intended.

From there, the conversation simply continues. The details established across the table become preparation, correspondence and decisions made with the same woman in mind. By the time photoshoot day arrives, you are not entering a generic booking system. You are returning to plans already shaped around you.

RESERVE YOUR DATE

The $399 + GST non-refundable Retainer secures your chosen photoshoot date.

UP TO 24 MONTHS

Zero-interest payment planning can continue beyond photoshoot day, with flexible monthly payment dates.

ARTWORK REMAINS SEPARATE

Photographs and artwork are purchased separately, with no minimum purchase required.

YOUR PLANS, YOUR WAY

The preferences, boundaries and decisions discussed during your Consultation are carried into the preparation that follows.
